Installing WinSpeed© on a 64-bit operating system


Step 1: For the Version 2008 FULL INSTALL CD (or later):
    - Make note of your CD drive letter
    - From Windows, select START (lower left corner of your screen)
      and then RUN
    - Type D:\Setup and press OK. (if 'D' is your CD Drive letter)
    - The setup wizard will guide you through the installation process
        - Don't change the installation location ('Destination Folder')

OR Step 1: For an older (3.35 or earlier) Version FULL INSTALL CD:
    - Click the 'Vista & Windows 7' box to the left for instructions

Step 2: Run WinSpeed. You will be prompted to obtain a Key Word from the AU Office
    - email: BLoffmgrarpu@aol.com
    - Phone: 1-405-848-5801

Step 3: DAO Setup (WinSpeed will show an 'Error 159' without this)
    - Use this DAO setup program:

    - It is for a gaming program (GURPS) but does exactly what we need
          (GURPS: Generic Universal Role Playing System)
    - During the DAO install, you will need to change the
      installation location (see below with pictures)

Here's how to change the installation location ('Destination Folder')
Scroll down to see each screen:

Click the Browse button


Change the path to C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and press OK


Error: You should not see this screen - you misspelled the new path
'WOW' is all letters, not with a zero
Note: Upper or lower case doesn't matter


Verify the Destination Folder is correct and then
Press the 'Next' button to complete the installation
